My trip to Canada!

I went on a quick trip to Canada last week. One of my friends from home got married in Regina, SK. And yes, Canada is a beautiful country.

I hate junk mail!

I have been waiting for my passport from the Canadian Embassy in LA in the past week. My departure to go to Canada to attend on of my friends' wedding is supposed to be today but my passport hasn't come so I finally emailed them this morning to find out where my application stands.

I haven't checked my email all day because work was crazy so when I came home, to my disappointment, nothing was in the mail again. I turned my computer on and the Canadian Embassy sent me a reply that my passport was sent on July 7 on a certified mail, that I need to check with the post office. What? July 7, that was last Tuesday.

I wanted to cry, run upstairs to go through some mail and tons of junk mail, after a while I found a yellow piece of paper that looked like a speeding ticket. Yeah, my passport was delivered on July 10 but I needed to be there to receive it so the mail man left the notice.

The most frustrating thing about it that I went to the post office on Friday late afternoon to mail something home.

I hate junk mail, I should have seen this notice if we didn't get so many junk mail.

Anyway, here I come Canada. We will leave tomorrow instead.

backpacking!

This week-end, I went to do an overnight bakpacking trip with friends to White Pine Lake, located in the Logan Canyon. The hike was 4 hours round trip, very easy and the view is amazing. The Lake itself was gorgeous.

Freedom!

This is the sixth time I am celebrating 4th of July in the United States. I hear over and over people say they are grateful for their freedom. I found this awesome video on how people express what their own freedom is.
